Polaris School of Quantum at IYQ 2025
Building a Global Foundation for Scalable Quantum Education
As the world marks the International Year of Quantum (IYQ) 2025, the global quantum community is coming together in unprecedented ways to shape the future of science, technology and education.
Among these landmark events, Polaris School of Quantum was honoured to be invited to speak at IYQ Launch Event in Pakistan - a milestone initiative supported by UNESCO and led by CETQAP (Centre of Excellence for Technology, Quantum and Artificial Intelligence Pakistan).
This historic gathering brought together thought leaders, researchers and innovators from across the globe - all united by a shared commitment to quantum progress.
Representing Polaris, our co-founder Jonas took the virtual stage to share the bold vision behind the School of Quantum - a global platform designed to make cutting-edge quantum knowledge accessible, scalable and impactful for learners everywhere.
A Truly Global Stage
The event showcased Pakistan’s remarkable strides in quantum science. Since 2023, the country has launched its first quantum computer initiative (QQ1), pioneered quantum AI solutions and introduced groundbreaking initiatives in quantum education.
Hosted by CETQAP and led by Dr. Prof. Zuhair Ahmed, IYQ 2025 Pakistan highlighted the nation’s role in driving global collaboration and workforce development in the quantum space.
Joining Jonas on the virtual stage were international experts from the USA, Belgium, Germany, Turkey, South Africa and beyond - each offering insights into their region’s unique contributions to the evolving quantum ecosystem.
"It was a privilege to present Polaris' vision alongside such an inspiring group of global experts," Jonas reflected. "Our thanks go to CETQAP and Dr. Zuhair Ahmed for organising such a meaningful gathering."
Why inclusive Quantum Education can't wait
In a structured 10-minute pitch, Jonas shared Polaris' vision for accessible, high-impact quantum education - a critical piece in ensuring that breakthroughs in quantum technology translate into real-world progress.
With quantum computing advancing rapidly - highlighted by newly announced concrete roadmaps from IBM and Google Quantum - the need to support and cultivate new talent is more urgent than ever.
In light of this, building a scalable, accessible foundation for quantum education is no longer optional - it's essential.
